Here are the PRIZES ... Two sets of PAF's as recreated by Spence of SHED pickups & The mysterious " Over the Pond Guy " !!! These are some of the sweetest sounding PAF's since 1959 !!!

MLP Pickups for Charity CONTEST !!!

The Official PayPal account for the MLP pickups for charity raffle contest is :

As of right now, paypal is the only accepted method of payment for raffle tickets. I will issue a receipt (please allow 24-48 hrs) when payment is made which will be your confirmation of the number of tickets you have bought (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or more). Tickets are one dollar ($1) US each, and you are allowed as many tickets as you would like to buy until the deadline.

When sending me a payment , Please send an Email to MLPforCharity@aol.com with your MLP username , Your Real name ( or the name on the Paypal payment ) address, and PayPal email address, this way I can sync them up with the paypal account and can mark you as paid.... There will be PayPal fees taken out of the donation amounts , So the total collected will be less than the total tickets sold ...

If any of these requirements are not met, it is not my responsibility to make refunds or list you as having paid. I must have your name, username, paypal acct address, and your street/mailing address to count you as having paid.

Other methods of payment may be on a case to case basis, paypal is the safest for you, me, and MLP.

You are responsible for determining the legality of raffles/contests in your state/confederate/prefecture/city-state/country/county/province/parish/hemisphere/autocracy/monarchy/dictatorship/theocracy/fuedal government/republic/etc..

Odds of winning based soley on the number of entries. There will be 2 Grand Prize winners !!! Each winner will get one set of the PAF's !!!

Re: *** MLP Pickups for Charity CONTEST ***

Here's a bit about the Reeves foundation ... From their website

About Us
MISSION STATEMENT: The Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation is dedicated to curing spinal cord injury by funding innovative research, and improving the quality of life for people living with paralysis through grants, information and advocacy.

The Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation's roots stretch back to 1982 when the American Paralysis Association was formed by a group of people that refused to accept the prevailing notion that the spinal cord, once injured, could not be repaired. The founders of the American Paralysis Association had an unwavering belief that researchers and neuroscientists, working together, would find a way to connect and regenerate the damaged nerves and cells that result in paralysis.

Christopher sought out the organization following his injury in 1995. As Christopher said, "I have always been a crusader for causes I believe in. This time, the cause found me." Christopher shared the American Paralysis Association's belief in a cure and lent his name, passion and drive to the organization which ultimately became known as the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation.

Together, we've come a long way. The research progress in recent years has been outstanding. Awareness and perception of spinal cord injuries has shifted dramatically, both in the scientific community as well as in the general public. Today, our belief in a cure is shared by the neuroscientists, researchers, clinicians and, perhaps most importantly, thousands of people living with spinal cord injuries and their families. The momentum is ours. We will Go Forward.

Re: *** MLP Pickups for Charity CONTEST ***

How thrilled are we here at the Reeve Foundation! Thanks so much for honoring us by selecting us to benefit from your contest. Most people don't really understand what we are trying to do at the Foundation. We are about so much more than getting people who are paralyzed to walk again. We fund research, yes, but this research is not just about walking, it's about improving people's daily lives, and a big part of that means getting your independence back. Something as simple as getting control over your bowels to being able to drive a car again to just getting a handle on your 24/7 pain that come with your injury can change your life!

We've got a million stories. I'll stop in from time-to-time to see how the contest is going and bring you links to some of the stories.

Thanks again so much for supporting us!

I think this is truly wonderful! Awesome choice on the charity as well... This one really hits home with me too. I think acutally this one touches, in some way, all the charity ideas mentioned by members so far. Im getting ready to send my share right after I post this.

Re: *** MLP Pickups for Charity CONTEST ***

Thanks for dropping in, Rob--it makes the focus not the contest, but the reality that some people have to live with everyday.

After I injured my arm and couldn't use it for a couple of months I really gained an appreciation for being able-bodied. I cannot imagine the stress, pain, and frustration of losing my entire body to an injury.

Thanks for what you do. Giving a contribution is the least I can do.

My wife works with people who have become paralyzed & puts in about 120 hours per week. She is their favorite not only because she is pretty but she gets them out in the community to places other workers wouldn't even dream such as karaoki, casinos, The mall , fishing, the city park, bowling, playing baseball, a strip club & organizes visits with others. Why am I telling you this is because I see the difference it makes first hand & it is something we often take for granted & anyone of us can fall victim to it or a family member or child in a instant.
