Saw that a few days a go. So sad ,but also so happy that kitty can actually play like a kitten should.

What's to be sad about? That's a happy cat. Give that video a better soundtrack and it would be a better story.

There's nothing sad about that, the kitten never had a clue that he was different. Nothing to feel sorry for him about to be honest, he will grow up well adapted to his environment and have no problem getting around I'm sure. Very cute little guy actually and it sounds like he landed in a nice home... he's doing just fine.

Cats are very smart and adaptable animals. My wife had an old cat that eventually went blind. It took him a while to adjust but he lived out the last years of his life quietly and happily inside our home.

Even that he is totally capable of adapt, and never had a clue of being different, I still wish that he had vision.

Re: Ouch, this broke my heart in a million pieces!

When I was a kid, we found a blind kitten in the barn. He was a little black and white cat, and he actually had maggots in his eyes when we found him. We went to my mom and got him cleaned up and taken care of, but he couldn't see a thing after. We named him Rufus and he became a house cat, and took root at the base of the refrigerator staying around that general area in the house and was doing fine. Then one day about about two months later he amazingly and suddenly regained his vision, practically overnight. He was the happiest and craziest little kitten ever after that, almost like he was celebrating every day after that. He turned out to be one of the best cats we ever had in those days.

That's a great looking little kitten, he will be just fine.

One of our cats suddenly went blind and there is no apparent cause, the vet said that sometimes this kind of thing just happens.

She had sight till she was 3 years old so she does know there is something different but just like Oskar she gets along with very few probs!

Re: Ouch, this broke my heart in a million pieces!

I found 2 stray kittens in a snowbank on a freezing night, brought them in and thawed them out..lol My wife's sister took one, who lived out it's 16yrs on a farm, and I kept the other "Ben" who was pretty much blind. I had him for 20 yrs. You can see in this pic, his eyes had a glaze to them. I think the vet called it "Ivyitis" or something. I just kept him indoors and got another cat (Max) to keep him company. Max passed in Aug, at 18yrs old.
