Stevie will always be my greatest inspiration, not for guitar playing but for how to live life. For a while there he struggled with alcohol and drugs but he overcame them and began playing with a renewed sense of purpose and a deeper message. He will always be missed, he will always be loved, and he will never be forgotten! God Bless Stevie Ray Vaughan, may he Rest In Peace.
Here's one of the best songs he ever wrote, in my opinion. Enjoy!

Re: Today is the 21st Anniversary of Stevie Ray Vaughan's Death.
Check out this vid.....this was Stevie's #1 strat.....'59 body & '62 neck.
You always hear people say that Stevie's fave guitar hero was named Jim... and it was.....his big brother.... Jimmy Vaughan. |

Re: Today is the 21st Anniversary of Stevie Ray Vaughan's Death.
ya know, i just realized that i used to listen to the SRV cd my dad has all the time about 3 years ago right before i picked up the guitar. Im pretty sure that it was Stevie Ray Vaughan and Eddie Van Halen who influenced me to learn guitar, but for the first few years of guitar i played rock. then i listened to that cd again and went back to the blues. and thats where im at now
