Recommend A Great Guitar ... CD / Album !!!
How about some recommendations of Albums / CD's that you guys consider examples of great guitar work or just great guitar tone !!!!!!!

Oh, something someone said the other week reminded me of a gem I owned on vinyl back in the late 70s. It was (I believe) put out by _Guitar Player_ magazine, by Mike Bloomfield, and the album was called "If you love these blues, play 'em as you please." Bloomfield played a bunch of classic blues styles--sort of a sampler. One track I still remember was "WDIA," in the style of B.B. King (WDIA was the Chicago radio station King had a show on in his early days.) FANTASTIC album, full of Bloomfield's incredible playing. I need to see if that's been released on these newfangled "CD" things I hear the young people talking about! (GREAT thread, Bobbo!)

excellent playing, although some have already stated it's not quite their taste. |
