Ummmmmmm When got my FIRST SG.. I thoguht maybe i had a ripoff guitar because it looked tiny as compared to all the pictures of Angus i had seen with his guitar..

And then i met Angus in person.... and realized.. it wasn't the guitar... it was the wookie wearing it that was making it look small!!

TMB I LOVE drummers. They are Just WHACKED. My first drummer was cross-eyed and blew me off to camp with his "frigid" girl! My second drummer was REALLY good. He was 21. I started noticing he was having trouble keepin' AWAKE! One night my basist and I jammed as he lay on the ground SNORING. PILLS ARE FUN! My new drummer is PERFECT! A drummer with a "guitarists" brain! Most drummers seem to take things WAY TOO FAR! Think of Moon and Bonham as a "type". Great drummers with GREAT BIG APPETITES!

HEL I love the picture and the White SG! It took me 10 years to GET my SG! I couldn't play it. I was used to Les Pauls. YOU CAN BEAT ON A PAUL AND IT STAYS IN TUNE! The Sg took more touch. Now I don't do Pete T windmills with it and it NEVER goes out of tune. Who would have THUNK it!

Re: The Sg Instrument of Evil+Singers Yelling GUITAR

I was thinking that some lucky person in the audience that night had a small fortune thrown at them by Pete, assuming that they kept the guitar....

Then I found this:

"The Who had embarked on a world tour to promote the album and during August 1969 they performed at the Woodstock music festival. This was not without controversy, with the band allegedly only agreeing to appear after being paid. Their set was interrupted by activist Abbie Hoffman trying to give an impromptu speech before being persuaded to leave the stage by Townshend.

The set ended with Townshend throwing his battered Gibson SG into the crowd where it was caught by a guy called Kurt Pfeiffer. Apparently the guitar was later retrieved by a roadie for salvage. Townshend's guitars were regularly retrieved and repaired for future use."

Cool stuff Geo. I NEVER thoughtt they retrieved his guitars.i don't blame him. The Who LOST enough money due to DESTRUCTION!

I think you'll appreciate this, Tim. Looks like the SG really is the instrument of evil. I caught this thread at the right time.

Thanks Machine. It is REALLY thick. Probably the width of 1and a half SGs. Perfect for Toilet Tone
