* NEW * MLP Pickups for Charity ( Suggestions & Ideas )

Hey MLP'ers ... We have a new Pickups for Charity event brewing !!!! I would like ideas and suggestions from the MLP membership on the charity of their choosing for this project !!! As well as any other suggestions people might have to make this a more successful event !!! The two sets of pickups featured in this charity project were crafted by Spence of SHED pickups !!! While the other set was made by the mysterious " Over the Pond Guy " !!! Both sets are PAF tributes just oozing with tone !!! ...... Lets get some ideas going on !!!!

Re: * NEW * MLP Pickups for Charity ( Suggestions & Ideas )

Personally, I suggest the Eric Carr Foundation at St. Judes.

I don't know how this works! I came a little late in the game, I think...

Re: * NEW * MLP Pickups for Charity ( Suggestions & Ideas )

The Charity you guy's pick I'm sure will be a worthy charity.
I would just like to say Thank's to Spence for donating a pair of his PAF Daddy's
The winner will definatley not be dissapointed(my opinion only). He definatley has my respect and Thank's for donating his pup's and his time.
Cheer's Spence.

Also since my wife is a breast cancer survivor, I would like to cast my vote for any Breast Cancer Charity.

Maybe to tie in the shirts idea, some guys can make official mlp shirts and a portion can go to charity? In addition to the raffle.

American Cancer Society...

Prostate cancer kills a lot of men. Colon cancer is an equal-opportunity killer...kills a lot of men/women.

Re: * NEW * MLP Pickups for Charity ( Suggestions & Ideas )

Well lets face it guy's we are born with 1 foot in the grave, some of us older ones are starting to smell a little bit but we arent rotting yet. Cancer is a killer will always be a killer along with various other things. It's to help with the research is what we are doing. Every legitmite charity foundation needs support. Myself I give to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, not for anything basically, just to give. WE will all die, the only thing we can do is try try and help someone /anyone be a little happier in their time given them. Any worthwhile Medical charity is in the end what its really all about. Just seeing the smile in a certain someones eyes that say's I'm gonna be OK............I'm gonna be OK. That should be good enuff.

Great idea. There are a few organizations that cater to vets that have lost limbs or are severely disabled. That'd be an awesome cause.

My vote is for the sick childrens hospital. There are children who sick and dying and will never experience playing on the playground or going to summer camp. Children who will never go to their school kindergarden dance, never experience their first kiss. Never experience growing up and all the wonderfull moments we all had. Think about your childhood and then think about those who can't. Do the right thing.

+1, also Cervical Cancer.. It seems more and more people are dieing from cancer these days.. My own father and father in law passed away a few years ago from lung cancer and now my wife just finished up treatment for cervical cancer(Shes 32)... A dear close Friend of mine, grand daughter just passed away from cancer and she was only 12 years old.. my company donates to the Ronald McDonald house every year... Its a blessing to the parents of sick children, who other wise would not be able to stay with their children, while they are in the hospital... They also offer consoling and support groups for the parents to help them deal with every thing they see going on, while their children are in the hospital...I always felt this was a good cause, because children are remarkable in the aspects of the strength they have tor-wards their treatment with their family close by....
