Re: What Have You Named Your Guitars And Why?
all of my guitars are MIJ
my most recent purchase is slightly different, which I won't go into but the difference does have a bearing on the name I chosemeet 'Rad' ................. an extremely rare Bacchus BLS-54 GO .............

Re: What Have You Named Your Guitars And Why?
Why yes. It is quite complicated. I named it "The Strat" because it is a Fender Stratocaster. I used the same principle when I named my hammers: Big One, Little One, Ballpeen and Tack.

Re: What Have You Named Your Guitars And Why?
I have an Epi Sg GX thats called roseanna because of a chris De bugh song called 'lady in red' and his daughter (who won Miss World) is called roseanna
I also have a strat copy that I'm in the process of re-naming as it went through a lot of modding lately and its old name (burny) doesn't suit it anymore. It has a tortoise scratch-plate and two cream buckers and a white single in a HSH form. The body is in black. Any ideas for a name?

Should've named her Jessica after Jessica Rabbit.

Re: What Have You Named Your Guitars And Why?
My white strat is Consuela because she's a Mexican.
My epi Dot is plain Dot. my les paul is Lester after the greatest picker to have a guitar named after him. My silverburst custom paul is undecided at the moment so I'm open for suggestions. The old Squier that was my very first is Blackie after E.C.'s old faithful. |

Re: What Have You Named Your Guitars And Why?
All named for my kids... Bought an LP for each of their birth dates and had them inlaid with their name (for the first three kids... I had money to burn then).
I'm working on scrounging up a 2008 Standard for little Liam. |

Re: What Have You Named Your Guitars And Why?
Great topic!
As you can see by my signature, the list of my guitars and their names. Here are the reasons: 2010 R9 - "Miss Amy" (or "Flamy Amy"*). Based on a character I liked on "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends." Amy just fit that particular guitar 2007 R8 - "Heather Jayne." Named after a cartoon character I created (based on a girl I knew in the Navy) 2005 R7 - "Kristi Lee." Named after a cartoon character I created (based on three girls I knew, but molded into one character) 2006 1960 (relic) Strat - "Frankie." Named after Frankie Foster of "Foster's Home" (I am an animation nut) 2007 1957 VOS (USA) Strat - "Mac." Named after Mac of "Foster's Home" (big fan of the show) 2002 ES-175 - "Lumpy." Named after Lumpy the blue moose in "Happy Tree Friends" There ya have it! ![]() * I am not taking the credit for 'Flamy Amy.' That name was given by one of the MLP members (please come forward if this was you)

Re: What Have You Named Your Guitars And Why?
It does not need a label other than 'guitar'. I think people having names is hillarious so I wouldnt name an inanimate object.

Re: What Have You Named Your Guitars And Why?
its not really a name, but I sometimes refer to my LP as "Honeybunny", partially as a reference to Pulp Fiction and partially because of the honeyburst finish. I also have a partocaster that I sometimes refer to as "Frankenstein" or "the mutt"

Re: What Have You Named Your Guitars And Why?
My white Epi Custom is ''The One'', because after playing my first LP for a year (and lovin' it), it was the one I wanted. Took a while to find a good used white one, lots of black ones out there. There is no ''Two''. My main playing out guitar will always be my (no name) 06 Standard. (at least a full pound lighter!). The only other guitar that has anything resembling a name is my Grayson 335, which thinks its name is ''f***ing piece of junk''
(It's actually a beautiful guitar, which spends most of its time as wall art in my living room, just needs some TLC on the fretboard/neck...someday, maybe, is it worth it? )
