Re: I love Lady Gaga
ok, someone state, objectively, what she is lacking?
While I don't care much for her style, her talent for pop songwriting, playing instruments and performing are all top-notch. So she's weird. big deal. |

Re: I love Lady Gaga
Pretty much. I respect her for that and all, especially over that hip hop garbage, but I'm just not into pop.

Re: I love Lady Gaga
There are a lot of musicians that I don't like. Doesn't mean they aren't talented. I know I have tried writing music and failed miserably.
I don't like pop/dance music. I also don't like rap but you know what I found out. You can tell the difference between somebody who knows what they are doing and somebody who doesn't. |

Re: I love Lady Gaga
I met lady gaga when she was still in high school, a grade above me. She was hosting a coffee house open mic in her school, Sacred Heart, which I performed in, but had no clue who she would become. I bet she also performed in my schools coffee house/ open mic a few times, as she was great friends with the kid who used to host the ones at my school.
Coffee house events is something that the New York Private schools in the New York Interschool system, a consortium of Private School, do a few times a year. Lady Gaga had some connections from the get go while performing young. They also allow kids to perform and gain experience as well as have fun. Its funny though, my GF loves Lady Gaga and I chuckled when I found out that I had talked to her way back in the day. On a side note, my friend recalls that our guitarist thought she was hitting on him that night, but that kid was so delusional.

Re: I love Lady Gaga
But I love her the most.
I love her so much - the next day, after hearing that Youtube clip there - I bought a copy of Vanity Fair magazine, with her on the cover. On a busy Sunday, at a ritzy grocery store, at a long checkout lineup full of beautiful women. Right in front of them all. Vanity Fair. Problem? What problem? ![]() ... OH! and this, when she called that bright young guy who played her song, on the Ellen show - tells him to follow his dream and work hard, be focused and stay away from the girls - tell me that's a problem, that message. That's the real message behind what this woman is doing. |

Re: I love Lady Gaga
Yeah, she comes from NY right? well how many women do you think in just that city can sing and play the piano and dance at pro level?.
Talented ya,but thats the whole point, who isn't,its a lottery. And once you do become famous and play endless huge concerts, performing interviews, world tours-you become even better. |

Re: I love Lady Gaga
Wow, I just watched 2 of her videos as well as the video of the kid who calls her an inspiration.
I was sure she was trash before and now I am even more convinced of it. This is an inspiration for the kids??? The first video was about deceit, fame and murder, Which she was found innocent of but did. This propelled her back into the lime light. The second video involved promiscuity, and something about wanting to ride the "disco Stick" She also seems to have a heavy alternative sexual agenda. I'm not sure she is a good role model for the kids. It's really different now with the reality of becoming a father, and bringing in an innocent baby girl into a world where people think this degenerate skank is cool, and artistic. I think she's trash, plain and simple.

Re: I love Lady Gaga
I have never heard her music but I am fascinated with her. There are times she looks attractive and other times she is the most frightening thing on earth.
