I'm depressed
I've never liked my birthday but today was worse than I could have ever imagined.
I wake up with a rash because of some dumb food allergy, only to realize what shitty day it is, the day I was born. One shitty thing after another takes place, honestly I don't even know what happened myself, but it resulted in my girlfriend not talking to me, me fighting with my mom, my wii being broken, and my last good guitar cable being broken. I can't even play guitar now, the one thing that would help me out of something like this. I just wanna go to sleep and never wake up. Sorry I feel like I have to vent, the bright side; 22 more minutes until I'm only a little miserable rather than totally depressed. In 22 minutes I'm free for another year. My birthday is just one of those days that I realize how much I hate living on. |

Re: I'm depressed
Yep. life sucks sometimes. You take the good days with the bad. You will have much worse Bdays than this, trust me. Keep your head up. Forget about the bad days, start fresh the next.
Happy Bday!!

Re: I'm depressed
When I was a teen I used to go through life saying "Life is a torrid repetition of the mundane". Most days are worse than that.
The I graduated to "Life is an unending series of compromises" Still rings true... Despite my gloom, I still got laid and am alive 20 something years later!![]() ![]() ![]() Life has its ups and downs, sorry your B-day is a downer, but chances are things will bounce back. I ya want I can send you my box of broken cables and yours can have friends! Some have been broken over thirty years Just waiting for a free moment to get to them.

Re: I'm depressed
Dang! I love my birthdays! My 51st is Monday, and I am anticipating it gladly! I look forward to all my birthdays, because each one means I have had another year of being alive, having all my friends, here at home and also on MLP! Heck, my knees, hip, ankles, right wrist, neck, and back all bother me at one time or another, but I figure if I wake up and something doesn't hurt, I am PARALYZED!!!
I anxiously look forward to the new year, so I can ride my dirt bike a few more times before I am no longer physically able! I look forward to going to work ech day, as I meet new challenges and learn new equipment. Heck, getting old isn't for pussies! I am sorry to hear you are not having a good day, my friend. Hang in there. I can send you a cable if you need one. What is your address? |

Re: I'm depressed
you need a birthday joke:
A middle aged woman went shopping one day for a birthday present for her husband. Since their sex life had been less than satisfactory for several years, see wanted to get something to spice it up. She went through store after store in the mall, but could find nothing she wanted. She sat down on a bench and broke out into tears. After a few minutes she looked up and noticed that she was sitting in front of a pet shop. To pick up her spirits, she decided to go in and see the puppies and kittens. She wandered around the shop for fifteen minutes and felt better. On the way out a clerk saw her and said "Did you see anything you liked, ma’am?" The lady explained to the clerk that she was searching for that perfect present for her husband. The clerk said "wait right her, I think I have the perfect gift for your husband." She went to the back room and came back with a beautiful teak box. She opened the box and showed her a frog. The lady said "I don’t think my husband wants a frog." The clerk told her this was a speacial kind of frog found only in the deepest forest jungles of South America..it only purpose in life was to give oral pleasure to men. She said all the man had to do was say "FROGGIE SUCK" and the frog would do so. The woman had always been adverse to giving her husband oral pleasure and was quite intriged by the idea. She asked the clerk how much. The clerk replied "500 dollars". The woman did not want to pay that much, but the clerk offered a money-back guarantee, so she bought it. That evening, after a gourmet dinner and the finest wine and liquers, the wife presented her husband with his present. He opened the box and exclaimed "What the hell is this??" The wife explained what the frog could do so her husband calmed down and said it might be a good idea after all. They retired to their bedroom. After ten minutes the husband could’t wait any longer, so he yelled :FROGGIE SUCK". The frog jumped out of the box and onto the bed and gave the man the best blowjob he had ever had in his life! Fifteen minutes later the man yelled out again with the same result. His wife was pleased so she told him to take the frog to the guest bedroom so she could get some sleep. About 5 AM she awoke and heard pots and pans clanking in the kitchen. She said "Honey why are you making so much noise down there?" Her husband replied "As soon as I can teach this frog to cook, we’re getting the hell out of here!

Re: I'm depressed
I think it's pretty bad that my only comfort is found in thinking that someone out there had a worse day than me. Today someone was murdered and I'm sitting here complaining about what a shitty day I had. At least I'm alive. I feel like a whiny brat honestly, but having to wake up tomorrow and go through the same thing makes me never wanna wake up.
Thanks for trying to cheer me up guys, knowing that somewhere someones willing to listen to me complain actually means a lot. If I paypal someone the money would you be willing to mail me a high quality lead? I can't get any where I'm from and these shitty ones keep breaking. PM me if you can

It all coalesces into a steaming pile that you just have to deal with until the next steaming pile hits. It never ends until you hit the long sleep..... At least that's how I see it. But I do smile a lot if that helps ![]() ![]() Hey, but his is not about me, we must bring cheer to our fellow MLPeer. One rule of thumb, Never trust and so never be betrayed. Works every time

Mine cost me $80.00 US, but I want more. Actually I bought two. Professional Audio Cable Solutions "Hearing is believing! Forget about what you thought you knew about the function of the everyday, garden variety microphone cable. PACS has created a new engineering standard for the transmission and reproduction of sound." -- Michael Panasuk, Engineer/Producer Nashville. ![]() I got mine with a right angle for sitting with the Les Paul. They are uni directional. Their stuff is incredible. I opted for the extra foot or so of tug guard like extra rubber near the cable ends. It helps prevent breakage. You end up turning your tone down with these cales because they transmit so much more than we are used to. They effectively enhance your tone circuit and volume controls. Oh, they take paypal too.

Re: I'm depressed
If I had 80 bucks I would try them. That is alot of money for a cable, but if they are worth it, I will save. Still would like a crotch rub for 80 bucks though.........

Re: I'm depressed
Hey man, I've been through a lot of crap in my short life and I tell you that you have to take it one day at a time. One day of sunshine in a hundred days of darkness is worth it to me. Cherish the good and tolerate the bad, it all evens out in the end, hang in there.

Re: I'm depressed
Thanks guys, knowing that at least someone is willing to try and help you out makes a world of difference.
I'm actually feeling better today, its been one of the best days I've had in a while. I learned most of I'm alright and the back of my neck is no longer sticky, the gross finish is completely gone and it feels like wonderfully soft wood

Re: I'm depressed
When I'm feeling like that, it really helps me to write it all down. It's like it gets it out of me and I can relax again... even if I just burn what I wrote or delete it. Also, through the process of writing you're bound to come across some thoughts in your head that aren't negative. Give it a shot, it really helps straighten things out in your mind.
