Killer blond bombshell !!!

I bought dukeastaire's Nocaster today, he shipped it out tonight, and would you believe I snagged a 52 Reissue the same day? I had been talking to this guy from Craig's list and he showed up at my work tonight with this sweet girl. I need it like a hole in the head (I mean, shit, I just bought a blond Nocaster). Anyway, I think I bought this one right, so I could probably unload it on the ebay if I had to. She is friggin shaweeet thought. The neck pickup is WEIRD, it is almost too warm. It sounds like the tone is turned all the way down. I think that may be because it's a 52 Reissue. Anyone know about that?? I'll post the Nocaster when I get her, until then, I give you the 52 bombshell!!

I sell MINI Coopers. I've been there a long time and have a lot of repeat and referrals. I also sometimes sell guitars to get new ones. For example, I just watched my auction come to an end on my James Burton Tele and an Epi Les Paul last night.

Re: Killer blond bombshell !!!

That's a beauty!

About the neck pup, I haven't owned a genuine Fender telecaster (I have a copy), but I have played at least 10, and usually, the neck pickup doesn't sound bad, but it's by no means a Strat neck pickup. They're much less trebly and usually lack the bite, just really smooth, so I guess that is typical with the Tele's. It's really all about the bridge pup in these things!

You've got me GASsing for another Tele! Such sweet guitars!

I learned something very interesting over on the Tele forum, as a matter of fact, this is very exciting to me. Back in 1952, they didn't have electric bass guitars, so they wired the neck pickup to be extremely bassy. Then you put the selector in the middle for the "normal" neck sound. The guitar came with a new cap in with the goodies, so it all makes sense. I may have been skeezed again on ebay (read my blood pressure thread), so I may have to try and sell this one now. (Long story). I'm going to go play this sexy girl for a while to make me feel better.

Re: Killer blond bombshell !!!

What exactly is this finish called? Certainly not a sink-in blonde.
