Fretboard help
hey guys i need some advice form some more talented people than I, I have a Paul whos fretboard is starting to "come unglued" for lack of a better term where it meets the body to the end of the board is there a way i can get soem glue in there then Clamp the piss outta it? or am I going to have to remove the entire board and reglue it?
This is a New neck on this guitar the orginal had broken and when it was repaired a new showed up, then one after that, and another, and so on and so on by the time i was finished I swore i had more glue than headstock left so i had a new neck made. |

Re: Fretboard help
I wouldn't use superglue as it gets too brittle when dried up. Try to use some titebond mixed with a bit of water to make it more liquid and inject it with a seringe.

Re: Fretboard help
Do you have a picture of the fretboard?
It sounds like you'd be better off removing the fretboard, cleaning it up and glueing it back. |

Re: Fretboard help
CA being brittle would be a good thing for tone transfer, but it's hard to move quickly with clamps with the very short open time of CA glue. You also may run into problems with the old glue in the open joint, so a complete regluing may be best in the long run.
Cheers, |
