Best Custom color for a refinish.

Lately I have been wanting to get a custom design done on a custom LP.
I have seen some natural customs and wonder if these are the best to start with since they already have no color on them.
Or does any color work just as good due to the prep?

what kind of design are we talking about?

Something in the realms of graphic line work. Think Zakk Wylde's bullseye, but a different design.
I want a white or off-white field with a single color design on top.

I refinished my white studio and it really was no big deal. I used a chemical stripper. Put it on, let it do it's thang, then the paint just peeled off with a plastic scraper... in big sloppy chunks.

Tape off the binding if you use stripper, it will melt the binding.
