Re: anyone have or played a Johnny A gibson?
I think they're awesome...the first one I traded for was great too tonewise but wouldn't stay in tune using the bigsby so I traded back. This second one was bought from a guy who bought it from GIbson at their Roadworn auction a few years ago. It has "Roadworn" branded on the back of the headstock. It was used as a display at the Custom Shop so there is no label in it. The longer 25.5" scale and ebony board really set it apart from most Gibson hollowbodies I've played and makes it extremely versatile. It can get bright and snappy tones along with the usual humbucker sounds. There's no feedback issue due to the flat back design. It really covers a lot of tonal territory from jazz, country, blues, rock etc.

I have one & like it a lot, I'd love it if you could touch the Bigsby without going out of tune. I'm thinking about trying a roller bridge on it.
As it is now the bridge studs flex when you use the tremelo in either direction. joe ![]()
