What, no threads on the 339?

I am intrigued by this guitar. I've played a couple in stores and read some of the decent reviews they've been getting, but I'd be interested in hearing about anyone' long-term experience with them.

I've read several. Just search.
I like the 336/346/356 better. All nice guitars though. It's nice to see Gibson making smaller 335s as it were.

Re: What, no threads on the 339?

They are out a little over a year now---I almost bought one as an alternative to hauling a 335 around Europe and will probably pick one up used at some point. One point I keep reading is that the tone is more like an LP than a 335...the hardwired treble bypass in the control circuit is probably something I would remove...

closer to a LP than a 335 for sure. i bought one used for a good price, but i dont ever play it. the only reason i havent tried to sell it is because my wife likes it and takes it to her guitar lessons.
