Dunlop VS Vox (Wah pedals!)
Okay I've become pretty fed up with my Dunlop DB01; its great don't get me wrong but it has way too many buttons on it and I seem to have to dial in a new sweep range etc every time I alter my tone slightly - so ima give Vox a go - I mean they were the original, right? There's an oldie a local shop for £40 ima nab; comes with a pedal case; I hear it has a wider sweep - seen good and bad vids on youtube so I dunno what to think.
What do you guys think? MVL.

Re: Dunlop VS Vox (Wah pedals!)
I bought a weeping demon and couldn't be happier. I have a large board and with a buffer I get no 'tone' loss whatsoever and the WD can be adjusted a million ways.

Re: Dunlop VS Vox (Wah pedals!)
Victor,
I have a Vox Wah and I really like it. My only gripe is it seems to have a limited sweep action, if that makes any since. It seems to bottom out fairly quickly, maybe there's a way to adjust it.....anyone know? I have played several different Wahs and to me, the Vox just seems to be spot on as far as sound goes.

Re: Dunlop VS Vox (Wah pedals!)
FIRST THOUGHTS.....keep your old wha and also buy the vox...I would bet that you would find yourself using one for one thing and the other for a different thing....
(WD, not having a true bypass would drive me crazy....but, I have never played one so?????) SECOND THOUGHT: take your axe and the Dunlop DB01 to the shop and A/B the Dunlop DB01 and the VOX (I did play a DB once and was not all that impressed but, I also was not being very critical or really paying attention.....) (I can not tell you how many times I would play a guitar in a store and think "I need this axe" and then I would come back with mine and A/B the two and mine would win hands down....) IF YOU END UP A/Bing THEM PLEASE LET ME KNOW YOUR EXPERENCES....

Re: Dunlop VS Vox (Wah pedals!)
Well the place I was going to get the vox has closed so Ima just get back my old crybaby and see if the 'coil' conductor in that makes it better with distortion - I do remember it doesen't sound as natural as the DB01 but meh. I don't really wanna go out of my way to buy a new wah pedal, I'd love a wizard wah but I dunno where to get em in the UK.
