Wah with distortion?

I know I've said this before; but it really feels like my wah sweep gets killed when I put it through a distortion pedal - which is pretty annoying cos my tube amp is only one channel so I pretty much gotta use a pedal - I've tried many settings on the pedal and changeing the wah sweep range etc but it just feels like I'm missing a bit of the sweep - mostly the high end. I dunno why but it feels really flat and lifeless especially with the higher notes.

It could be the pedals I'm using I guess, I'm using a dunlop DB01 into a boss MT-2. The wah is ok at the lower notes but dies around the 12th fret; wasn't a problem with other amps where the distortion was built in and not from a pedal.

What do you guys use? Cos I was thinking of trying out a Vox wah cos I hear they have a better sweep range.

I use a Teese Picture Wah. Great pedal, a little pricey. I don't use OD pedals (just the amp ), but when I did I used a variety: Fulltone OCD, BK Butler Tube Driver, Hermida Zendrive, TS-9.

Never had a problem...you are going Guitar-->Wah-->OD, right? You might try tweaking the tone on the OD box as well.

I never normally use OD pedals but the blackheart BG5 only has one channel. (and no drive unless driven hard)

I've tried alot of different tones but I still can't get a natural sounding wah for some reason.
