Good Story

I wanted to send out props to a company that really just took care of me;

Here is the story..

I was looking for an anaolog delay pedal to go with my (new then) Blackheart Little Giant mini- stack. So craiglist sounded good and I located a Home Brew Electronics Mimic I for like a $100. Sound good, drive down to South Philly and pick it up. Absolutley love the thing, very brightining (sp) does a nice job.

So one day, the battery goes dead, oh well I guess I'll grab another. Hey this thing is 9v, I think my Pod is 9v, I'll try the adaptor. I plug it in and immedialtey smell a not good smell as the light dims on the pedal...OH SH*T!!. This thing is used and this is my fault (although I'm still not sure why it didn't work).

What to do now??? I e-mail HBE and ask if they repair old pedals of thiers. Like 20 minutes later, on a Saturday no less, I get an e-mail back that if I paypal them $20 and mail to them they will fix it!!! I did this and like 5 days later my pedal arrives good as new...and batteries only for now till I buy an approved adaptor.

That is a cool company who actually cares about thier customers...

GO Phils!!!

Re: Good Story

I have an HBE Uno MOS and they are VERY picky about the power adapter. For one, the center pin has to be negative. But beyond that, many run-of-the-mill 9V adapters will be noisy with some of their pedals. I picked up one of those 1-Spot adapters from GC and its perfect. No noise whatsoever.
