Will A ISP Decimator G String Work Without A Loop?

I have a JCM 800 which has no FX Loop but I really could use a noise suppressor.

I'm sure the standard Decimator won't work but will the new Decimator G String?

I haven't heard back from ISP yet and the local GC and other shops had no answer for me except for ,"what's that?"
