Duncan Antiquities in my R7 or R8???
Need your advice please
![]() I have a set of Antiquity humbuckers waiting to be installed, but I'm wondering which guitar derves them most: My rather heavy and dark/full/warm/powerfull/not so crisp sounding R7, or the more open/bright/crisp somewhat thinner-than-the R7, 1958 VOS? Can I expect the DA's to be darker or brighter sounding than the stock BB 1+2? Yeah, yeah - I know I could jst try and listen, but hopefully someone have tried this before me

Re: Duncan Antiquities in my R7 or R8???
My Ants like the brighter Les Pauls much better than my Explorer. My conclusion was they aren't for darker, driven guitars (that Explorer was something else in that department).
