Is it possible to add a piezo?

Is it possible to add a piezo to my Gibson LP standard? Will it sound good? (my guitar is chambered) how much would it cost?

L.R. Baggs T-Bridge at Stewart-MacDonald

All reviews I've read on this are good...never done it myself, however.

Re: Is it possible to add a piezo?

yes and yes...now you will get that piezo quack (have played a number of axes with the piezo quack problem and I thought it was useable for gigging and really cool)...but, I belive that graph tech has dealt with that problem....not cheap, I do not remeber at this time...and I would think that a chambered standerd LP would be a very good guit to do that too....if you do it I will be jealious...(I think that if I did that to an epi casino the results would be very cool)

Re: Is it possible to add a piezo?

I just checked out graph tech. It looks amazing almost too good to be true. After a little more research I may hook it up. I dont think I wanna do it myself though, if anything goes wrong I would be most unhappy

well, i saw that trussart uses the graphtech system so i did research into it and it seemed to be an amazing system a bit better that the other ones, and i also liked that it was on a tone pros locking bridge (or you can use the graphtech resomax bridge, which i think locks in too) a good system that is easily switched and/or mixed with your regular pickups, plus the string saver saddles (approved by dan erlewine) made for a nice set up.
i decided against it b/c i decided against a peizo in my build. i wanted it to be a bit simpler where the most complicated thing was a kill switch wired it.

if i do decide to peizo something i would do graphtech and "ghost" my guitar

yeah, im having a WB90 hot and ultraviolent 20 put in to make that my extremely hot "scortch and incinerate" guitar. although i may put it into my classic seeing that will be my bluesy guitar and it is probably going to be better acoustical built than this one and will really take advantage of a peizo system.

so no knocks on the graphtech system. i just didnt want to go that way with this guitar build

Re: Is it possible to add a piezo?

Im probly going to add a trem as well. I found one you can use with the original bridge at stewart mcdonald. That way I dont need to drill or change the string length on the bridge. My tone wont change and I can go up or down a half step.
