Dry Fretboard?

Hey guys, I was just wondering if you knew what this was. Near the bottom of the fretboard, you can see a lighter area. Is that just dry wood that can be repaired with something like lemon oil? Thanks

Re: Dry Fretboard?

It's just a kind of a 'pattern' on the wood. I have something similar on my bass and I like it

"The official MLP Rist Guitars build thread" <- look at THAT board. Yummy!

Re: Dry Fretboard?

the light streak is the wood itself. can't be "repaired" but the board itself looks like it could use a bit of conditioning. lemon oil will just make your fretboard smell nice. if you want something that will actually make a difference, get your hands on some Fret Doctor.
Fret Doctor
that stuff makes a world of difference!
