Bit of help with Sunshine of Your Love
Weeks ago I rented out a learn to play guitar book and the 1st thing I learnt was Sunshine of Your Love, at least the 1st 5 notes. Does anyone have the tabs for the rest of the song? I am earger to show off a bit to some friends.
Thanks for all help, Andrew.

Re: Bit of help with Sunshine of Your Love
You're welcome! If you found your way through the first riff, then you'll get the rest! It's a fairly simple song. It only took me a few seconds to find that video, and I saw one or two for the solo that you can search for when you're ready to try and tackle that.
Oh, and welcome to the forums! Lots of great guys and gals willing to help out around here. |

Re: Bit of help with Sunshine of Your Love
Trivia question: The beginning of Clapton's solo is actually the first few notes of the melody of a very famous old standard.
What song? - D

Blue Moon. Performed by way to many people to even list.
That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it. ![]() And, for the record, I knew that without a google search. Just had to think of the lick, and then figure out what the words to it were. Nice bit of trivia, Stranger. I admit I'd never thought about that before. |

+1 Clapton's solos aren't technically hard at all. But I struggle to get the feel that he has when ever I learn a cream song.

Re: Bit of help with Sunshine of Your Love
the solo isnt hard. its all D min pent and D maj pents.
The trouble with it is to get it to sound close to EC's power onthe record. but at the same time I never heard EC play the solo the same way as its heard on the record. And I have about 7 live versions of the song. He starts off the same but then does what he wants I guess. If i were to do that in a Live band situation folks would say I didnt know the song and riducule me. So i play its heard on the record |
