Re: POD effects unit

I've heard good things about them. I recommend looking at the harmony-central.com reviews section for any and all gear.

My uncle has one and it seems cool; especially for recording.

Re: POD effects unit

the pod 2.0 is only a little more expensive and is pretty good. i use one for practice and ampless jamming.

Re: POD effects unit

They are handy little devices. I have a friend that uses one.

I picked up a desktop version of the Vox Tonelab a few weeks ago and love using it. The tonelab has a pre-amp tube in it that gives you a more realistic tone than the POD , IMO. Seems to be a little more customizable too. You can pick one up used for $100-125.

Re: POD effects unit

you can get used tonelabs in the US already??? Only been out in the UK for 4 days.

Did you try the taking the guitar out of a track and jamming feature, this realy appeals to me??

Re: POD effects unit

PODs are really cool, so versatile and you can dial in some really good tone. I liked the original so much and went and bought an XT a week later. The XT has a usb port and can really be fun hooked up to a computer, endless combinations of effects / amps / cabs. I really enjoy it and recommend them.

Re: POD effects unit

The PODxt and X3 are awesome units
you can record in 24bit with them really
they are alot like a USB digital sound unit
not just for guitar, but for bass, vocals, keyboards
what ever you want into them, there are settings and
downloadable settings on the internet that are better
than the stock settings.
