Anybody looking for a GT Conversion - For Sale in Calgary
1953 GIBSON LES PAUL GOLDTOP BODY CONVERSION PROJECT
I don't have the cash right now, but I wouldn't mind picking it up for the old wood. Figured I'd post this up incase anybody else is looking. |

I'd be willing to go take a look for someone if they're interested, and get some better pictures. A quick email to the guy could net some better photos. Just figured I'd toss it out there since I can't afford it, and it's on my local craigslist as of today.

I got everything but backplates and maybe a wraptail.Newer plates won't fit right.Could end up a '53/'60 convert.

these pix were lifted off an Ebay auction. Even though I knew they were stolen photos, I did email the guy for fun (if you rollback on Craigslist, it was for sale a week or so ago at $3100), the story goes: -he's in England for 7 months - he sent it to a Money Booker warehouse in Vancouver - you can't look at it there, you send him a 30% deposit, they ship you the guitar, you have 14 days to pay for it or return it, something like that. lol

the real one sold on Ebay a month or so ago for about $6K. It was in Florida.
it wouldn't be a bad time to build a fund for old wood. I've been contemplating the same thing. Problem is, I don't want to sell anything.
