Gots me a killer travel guitar!
I travel all over the world in my job, sometimes to some less than desirable locales, and I was in dire need of a very portable guitar rig. I just received my Steinberger Spirit after three month's backorder. Killer tone wasn't an issue with buying it; I just wanted a very portable, very playable guitar that sounded at least OK for me to keep my sanity.
Surprise! This little jewel actually sounds pretty damn good! All I need now is a pocket Pod, and I'm set.

Very cool!
When you're ready for the next level of portability for only $499 you get what looks to me like a ninja with a sword on it's back. Travel Guitar-Travel Guitars-Stewart Stowaway ![]() ![]()

To the OP, my local GC always has one or two of them in stock and I always wondered how they play/sound. What sort of music or tones does it lend itself to?

It's just a travel guitar for me - it plays nicely and sounds good enough for me to enjoy myself with it when I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere for weeks or months on end. |

Re: Gots me a killer travel guitar!
I owned 4 real Steinberger GL's, and to be honest the import Spirits (and the Hohners) sounded better.

I need something "pocket small". The places I travel (tents in the desert) put a premium on personal space. I've played the pocket Pod and it's good enough for me to use in keeping my sanity, and small enough to stuff in the gig bag with a pair of headphones. |
