Hi all!
Just new to the forum, thought would be a good idea cos i am STUCK.....BIG TIME! So any advice would be much appreciated. Have just got a Melody Maker 2007 (The new cheaper one) and am having a nightmare trying to get a Allen/Hex Key to fit the screws on the back of the wrap around bridge (so the saddle will move either closer or further from the posts) SEE ATTATCHED PIC! I have bought 2 sets of keys now...METRIC & AF On the metric the 1.5 is too small and the 2 is too big On the AF the 1/16 is to small and the 5/64 is to big THERE IS NOTHING IN BETWEEN EITHER PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ANY ADVICE??? Cheers |

Re: Melody Maker 2007 Allen/Hex Key - PLEASE HELP
I'm not at home now to check, but I think there was a key in the box that it shipped in. Did you buy it new? Otherwise ask the previous owner.

Re: Melody Maker 2007 Allen/Hex Key - PLEASE HELP
Cheers for the reply!
Have had a good look, nothing else in the box, just the g-tar. Think am just gona have to take it to my local set-up guy, hopefully he'll have sumin that fits. The intonation is just a tad out aswell (all just slightly under tune at the 12th). Am hoping just a little turn on each screw to push the bridge forward shold sort her out. It's the little things GRRRRRRR! |

Re: Melody Maker 2007 Allen/Hex Key - PLEASE HELP
Yeah, I had some intonation problems too with my MM. I bought a replacement bridge with individual saddles from pigtail music ("Wrap-Around Intonatable Tailpiece"). A bit pricey, but well worth the money!
