I really need your opinion on a trade

Hey guys, I saw this 1998 "Blackie" Clapton Strat on Craig's list last night and asked the guy if he'd be interested in my Burton. He perked right up and asked em what I had in mind. Here are the pix he sent me. He says the buckle rash is only in the clear and can be buffed out.

I'm thinking about asking him for a little difference and we keep our cases.
His case looks like it's been kept in a dumpster.

Its up to you bro. IMO I would pass you got great strats already. Those AM standard Blackie things IMO are marketing hype B.S. any way. Alot of fake ones out there to.

Thanks guys, I've been emailing back and forth quite a bit. Before I saw all your posts, I emailed him back a minute ago and offered him my Joe Strummer tele, my Epiphone Les Paul and a couple pedals. I'm sure he won't go for that after showing him that Tele. I may put that Tele up in the closet. I was told today that it was discontinued.

I just had a dealer offer me a brand new EC Blackie for my Burton + $190. I emailed him back and said, "I know your a business, but this guitar is a lot more rare, I'll pay shipping both ways". We'll see what he says.

The old sig. EC with boost have a push button switch for it do they not , I can't remember.

I have access to Fender's dealer site and I looked them both up. The "Hot Rod" was $65 more than the Burton. I offered him $65 and never heard back. I've decided to keep it unless a blond "Closet Classic" Nocaster like that one that was in the classified section here pops up.
