Hello from down South
Hi guys (and gals),
My name is Nick and I'm addicted to guitars, Les Pauls in particular. I own a 25/50 Les Paul Custom, an '81 GoldTop, and an early Gibson '67 re-issue V that's tricked out... Black body, chrome hardwear including the addition of pickup rings, and mirror pickgaurd and truss cover. I own a total of 19 guitars including a Heritage H-140 GoldTop, G&L F-100, an early Carvin offset V with ebony fretboard and block inlays, and a Martin D-15 acoustic. I love my guitars. I used to play in a rock band in the 80's. Now, I just mostly collect and modify guitars as a hobby I have a few amps too...early 80's Laney AOR ProTube 30, Ampeg VT-22 ,Crate Vintage Club 50, And a Crate FlexWave120 Head. I also have a late 60's model Orange 4X12 bottom. I'm glad I've found this site. It makes me feel kinda normal...heh, you know..worshiping your guitars. I'll post some pics soon. RockOn! |

Re: Hello from down South
Here are a few pics of most of my guitars. And not to confuse anyone, my 25/50 was modified BEFORE I bought it. I know this will bring tears to your face and a knife through your heart but it was professionally routed for a Kahler tremolo. It also had a set of EMG 81/85's dropped in it. You may have seen this guitar on eBay last year. I ended up buying it for 1800. Believe me, it was worth every penny. I did convert it back to a hardtail even though the trem worked fine. I don't have the original pickups but I do have a set of reverse zebra (cream/blk) scatter-wound handmade pickups based on a PRS design that I'm gonna try. I don't mind messing around with it since it was ALREADY molested when I got it.....otherwise, I would've NEVER changed a thing from its original condition. When I finish installing the new pickups and electronics, I'll post some more pics. I did put back the T-6 tailpiece back on it. It plays like a dream.
