I'm happy Matt's Music is now part of the My Les Paul Forums! Here's a brief blurb on myself and my shop.

In 1985 I graduated from Dean College with a major in guitar/minor in small business and my local music store hired me. I ended up working at that shop for 11 years on and off doing everything from sales, management, accounting, advertising, stockboy, janitor... you name it, I did it.

During the 11 years I spent learning the ropes of music retail, I was also an active performer. In 1987 I was a member of Adam Bomb on Geffen Records and in 1988 I took a year off to attend Musicians Institute (GIT) in Hollywood, CA. Since then I've been lucky enough to share stages with Dio, Kings X, Yngwie Malmsteen, Ratt, Planet X, Skid Row, Rob Halford, Queensryche and even Iron Maiden, when my band toured as their opening act in 2000.

In 1996 the opportunity to open my own music store presented itself and with the support of vendors and customers alike, I opened Matt's Music Center on November 6th, 1996. My staff and I have come a long way since '96 and my little shop, isn't so little any more. We've grown because we offer super competitive prices on great products like Gibson Custom Shop guitars and we back it all up with service that's better than our competition.

So when you call, email or use live chat on our site, there are only 2 people you'll speak with... myself and Jay. Jay has been with me for 5 years, he runs all our Ebay auctions, handles shipping and he's my right hand man. On top of all that he manages to gig about 100 times a year! Rest assured, both of us will bend over backward to make sure your purchase is a great one. We value your business and look forward to making you a new friend of ours!

Hi MAtt! Good to see you. I've been meaning to stop by your place. I'm originally from Hull and Marshfield. I'm just biding my time in CT until I can plot my comeback to the greater Boston area.

I read here a few weeks back that the Gibson bus showed up at your place. Bummer I missed it. I was in the area and over at Music Unlimited in Hanover. ( Barry's an old friend ). Had I known, I'd been at your place.

I'll make a point to stop up when I'm in the area for a day.
