tough one. are you buying new or used? i love the BFG but it is seriously overpriced IMO.

Lol, find me a cheep (less than a thouand.) SG classic, then i might be sold, even the BFG is cheeper......
(oh yeah, is the SGC a GC exclusive?)

In all honesty I'd go with the SG.I really don't really like the floyd rose thing... They're just annoying to deal with imo.

I think the faded SGs are going for around 800 new right now...

Go to centre city music (Centre City Music) and talk to Saul. I just picked up an SG Standard for $1200 brand new in ebony. I'm sure he'll work wonders on a Classic.

You could probably get a better deal even with shipping.
Maybe not, but a quick e-mail costs nothing.

I was there last weekend, he had 1 red SG ( I think ) I know he
had an ebony explorer, but those were all on the opposite side of the
shop, only glanced over there.

The SG Classic is awesome! I got mine for 762.00 from MF
It sounds and looks great. It is a must have.
