Squier Classic Vibe Series
First off, I"ll get it out of the way, I love Squiers!!!! The good ones anyways. I have a Vintage Modified P Bass and if there was a saying that was ten light years over "bang for the buck", this bass would be it.
This Classic Vibe series is even better. I played a 50's Duo Sonic that was so resonant, light, playable, great sounding, and PERFECT that it was scary!!!! Also a two tone sunburst 50's Strat. SAME THING!!!! This seems to be the consensus for these guitars from all the reviews and raves I've been seeing on these. I was just blown away. I'm waiting for the 50's Tele to come in, and if its as nice as these two others, I'm going to buy it. SERIOUSLY!!! These guitars are going to cause a shake up in what other manufacturers offer in options and quality in this "low-end" part of the market. At this point from what I've seen that is as good as this series is PRS SE, St. Blues, Schecter, Reverend, and some MIM Fenders. And these are mid-level guitars. And the only thing that puts these guitars in the "next level" of market category is that they have more features in them. You simply will not find a better quality/dollar ratio out there!!! Don't believe me????? Get your hands on one, then decide. Yup they really are that good.

I Have a CV 50's and 60's strat. I love them both. Best guitar you can get for 300 IMO. Check them out:

Re: Squier Classic Vibe Series
I'm seriously considering one of these for my next guitar. And after reading all the reviews on them I'm considering them even more.

Re: Squier Classic Vibe Series
I've played the Duo Sonic too. Its very nice guitar, just not my cup of tea. The short 24" scale throws me off, but it was a very well made guitar. I just wish they would have tinted the neck like they did on the strats and the Tele. My next guitar is either going to be an Epi dot or CV tele. I want to try one, but they are constantly sold out everywhere

Re: Squier Classic Vibe Series
Yogi!! I think it just may be the 50's Strat instead of the Tele that I go with!!! GFS makes a drop in bridge/full size steel block for $40. Have you seen it and do you think its necessary? My dealer just sold their Strat and Duo, so hopefully they get more in by the time I scratch up the dough.

Re: Squier Classic Vibe Series
I know some people have complained about the block size, but I thinks its fine like it is, but thats just my opinion. These whammys can take made abuse and stay in tune like crazy

Re: Squier Classic Vibe Series
I've just read a review from a German musician who had checked several Vibe Teles ... and bought one of these ...
He was cheering about weight, resonance (he could test several guitars) and playability and sound ... and decided to buy a Strat additionally !!!! Others were reporting the same ...
