sg with a floyd rose?

Is the body thick enough to handle one?

I remember seeing a few SG specials in the 80's that had Kahler trems......

There's something about a Gibson and a Floyd Rose combination that just doesn't sit right with me!

It's like hot sauce and a banana split.......seperately they're OK......together, NO WAY!!!!

Tony has a white Custom with a trem too. I dunno if it's a Floyd.

I don't think it is possible, I think the route for a Floyd is too deep for an SG's body. Other trems can work, but not a Floyd.

ESP has made their Viper, which is kind of a bastard SG, with a Floyd in the past. But it has a much thicker body.

It can be done. Replace the sustain block with a shorter one, like this 32mm...

yes i've done them for customers in the shop, make the block smaller everything else stays the same.

I think the body is too thin for a floyde rose. You could use that type of them they had on the angus young model.

Its prolly won't bend up but safer to install.
