Using the knobs with a Strat. feat. underwound BKP Apache set

Hello,

I'd like to share with you how I use my 60's Strat clone. Basically I've managed to set the amp and without any pedals whatsoever I have a lot of control over how my guitra sounds.
My guitar is a Frankenstein Strat made from different parts in the style of a 60s stratocaster.
I use a Schaller Megawitch blade selector, and for the pots I use a 280k Superpot made by CTS fro master volume, a noload -Fender- CTS 250k pot for master tone, ans a Mexican made pot sold by FRalin that works as a blender pot. The tone cap is a handmade Sozo ( SoZo Amplification SoZo Capacitors -- For that Vintage Analog Sound. ) mustard type; 12nF value ( yes.. that low! )
The guitar has a set of underwound Apaches that sound absolutely gorgeous.
What I do is set my amp ( vintage Marshall type ) for a crunch-to-lead tone with plenty of high-end.
Then I roll down the volume to 2 or 3, with the tone knbob maxed out to get a lovely clean sound with plenty of "mojo" and personality.
Then I crank the vol pot a bit and roll down the tone knob so the dirt increases but I keep the same amount of high end. The idea is to have control over the high end and the gain not rushing toi the amp at all.

I've recorded a clip to show what's happening using my strat plugged to a cheap boss digital recorder with a Marshall emulation programme engaged, straight to mp3, with no effects but a smooth reverb. I selected the neck pickup for all sections.

See what you think....

BTW, please forgive the slighty sloppy playing....
