Hello Kitty!
Yeah, I did it. The wife saw the hello kitty strat at the store, and so I bought her one... She looked it up on youtube and saw all these people shredding on it, and said, "you should get that"... (like it would make me more manly or something... ).

She actually wants to learn how to play, so this might be a good thing... although, if she gets into it like I am, the GAS might lead to bankruptcy.

Anyway, I bought a seymour duncan to drop in it, so after I get it and get it upgraded, I'll have to post some pics and sound clips...

Sounds interesting a wife with an interest in guitar isn't a bad thing although if you both get some GAS it could be disastrous!

the sad thing (it's not really sad) is that I already have over a dozen guitars... she just wanted something more 'her'... I can't wait until she really gets hooked, and then it's on like donkey kong...

My wife is learning guitar as well. Right now she's attracted to any guitar painted in Candy Apple Red.

She have a favorite brand yet?

The strat is supposed to get here Saturday, so pics will be forthcoming... the pickup actually arrived today, so I'll be taking it over to get installed, set up, etc... next week... the guy I take it to only works Mon-Thur, so it takes a little longer than I'd like, but he does really good work, so I'll live.

UPDATE: Hello Kitty ended up arriving on Tues (9 Sep), and I took her over to have her set up and the pickup installed... pics will be posted when I get her back...
