Minty fresh Fender goodness!!!!

I have been wanting to change from a tortoise shell to mint green pick guard on my Custom Shop 1960 Relic. I finally changed it last night. Only one screw hole didn't match up. I will either try to find a rusty screw that looks right, cut the head off and glue it in or drill another hole. I took some picks for you guys.
Before...

After...

Here's a close up of said "hole". The other pickguard hole is about two inches left of this one. You can see the metal shield under the hole. I really doubt that one hole under the stock pick guard would hurt resale. What would you guys do?

Looks good! If you really want the true vintage look you might want to pick up a white 3-ply pickguard and soak it in coffee or tea overnight. It'll end up a cream/beige color like this (though this is single ply from 1957):

Yeah Jomo, I'm with the Captain, that guard just works a whole lot better with the white than the tortoise shell.

Also liking the display cases, very speccy. Build them yourself?

Rick.

Thanks, yes I build these cases. I am currently selling the through a local music store for $299-15% for the store. Here is the add I posted on MLP.....
I will sell these for what I had posted on this thread to MLP members, but that is me squeaking by. It takes a full day (sometimes more) to build one.
