FS: 2007 Fender American Vintage Hot Rod '62 Strat in Sherwood Green (nitro!)

I'm selling a 2007 Fender AV Hot Rod '62 strat in a beautiful Sherwood Green nitro finish. Many people say this is the best non-CS strat Fender makes. I have changed the neck out on the guitar with a Fender USA neck (from a very limited edition Hwy 1) which is slightly thinner, but still a rosewood board with a satin back. The neck is a vintage 7.25" radius and was also made in 2007, two months after the body (if memory serves) and has hardly any fret wear. The neck has the 50's headstock and spaghetti logo, just as the original neck had. The electronics in this guitar are untouched (cloth wire!), it has 3 American Vintage Strat single-coil pickups with reverse-wound/reverse-phase middle pickup. They're great sounding pups- full, bright, and quacky. The guitar itself is in great shape, but not mint. There are a few small edge nicks, but nothing through the finish. There is only one very tiny ding on top and it is pictured next to my thumb for scale (really small). The headstock has small dings on the bottom. The Sherwood Green nitro finish is beautiful, it's greener in person than in the photos and has a light metallic sheen (can be seen in the pic of the front ding). The back tremolo cover has a couple of cracks next to some of the screw holes, as the last owner overtightened them. It still works fine. There are a few scratches on the pickguard as well, but that's what it's there for, right? It comes with a black molded Fender hardshell case, tremolo bar, and vintage black strap.

$995 shipped/pp'd in the Cont US.
This guitar sells at MF for $2159, so even with a different neck, this is a steal! No trades, unless you have a 1x12 cab (that I like) plus cash. The guitar will need a setup, as the neck was just changed and has not been tweaked since then. Please email gredandforgerock@gmail.com instead of PM. I have lots of TGP references and have sold one guitar here. Thanks!

I know people will ask "why did you change the neck?" Simple. I wanted a bigger neck on my other strat, so I swapped them. I bought this guitar used solely for that purpose.
