FYI the Russian caps I have tried are the K-40 silver case and the K-42 green case. The K-40's are very warm and have great Tone Qualities like the Bees & Vitamin Q's .

The K-42 series is a high temp mil spec cap that reads lower than .022 more like .018 and has a lot more mids and are a bit edgier than the K-40's. I actually heated the K-42's up and then they read closer to .022 as they were made to run in Hot areas.

My pick for Blues and Classic Rock are the K-40's in the silver case as they are softer and more vocal. The K-42's may work better for a Metal or hard rock player?
