For me it's like asking which I like better: a chisel or a flathead screwdriver?

They're different tools for different jobs. Strat is more comfortable. Yet there is a workman-like feel to the plank of wood that is a Telecaster. I dig that. Strats are fancier, but with fancy comes the potential for more adjustment problems and irritations.

I've tried to hit the best of both worlds with a Nashville Tele (middle pickup like a Strat) so I can get the cool notch tones of a Strat but still basically have a Tele. Still, I know it's not "just as good as a Strat". It's more like having a chisel that I can sometimes use as a screwdriver too...
