Here's a thought. GM has sold a few of his bursts but not this one. Why? Could be his favorite. Or, maybe because it's hot! Who would buy this thing knowing it could go back to RM? If I had the money to buy a burst I wouldn't touch this one for any price. Right now this burst is worthless to anyone besides GM and RM.

I wouldn't be shocked to find out that a previous owner knew it was hot and got what they could for it while they could. Montrose had been searching for this guitar ever since it was stolen and had a few leads here and there before he actually located it, so word had been out there for some time possibly tipping off an owner to dump it before it was found.
