I use a few...I found the Boss metal Core (Black )to be an awsome distortion pedal and I use it alot as my main pedal, when Im not using the amps distortion.
But If I need a little more gain for leads or heavier tone I hit my MXR distortion III.(red)
Its not a powerful distortion pedal,but it gives me enough to get wher I need to be......
