fuzz, od, distortion all fall under the one big category of distortion. when people start diffentiating OD from distortion pedals, usually they mean OD for varying degrees of tube-amp like breakup and distortion for the higher gain stuff. most high gain OD pedals ARE also classified as distortion pedals.

if you're looking for a ds1 sound, i'd take a look at the satchurator, since it's like a tricked out ds1.
