Re: Most Overrated Band of All Time ????

Ritchie Sambora. The man is one of the most underrated guitarists/composers of our lifetime, and its all because he plays with Bon Jovi. If he were in a kick ass hard rock band, or even a bluesy or country outfit, the man would shine, and he's almost a better singer than Jon.
Ditto that. When the subject of underrated guitarists comes up, he's about the first one that comes to mind.

Zeppelin never really did it for me either, even to this day, and I haven't owned any of their stuff. I can respect them for their contribution in defining a genre and inspiring countless others, but it won't make me go out and buy their CD's.

Metallica is one of those big acts that I feel is very overrated. I saw them in about 1983 in the basement of the Cleveland Agora (The Pop Shop) when they were trying to outdrink each other and hawking their new EP between songs. Musically none of them seem very talented.

Yeah, U2 are bigger and more annoying than they should be.

Kurt Cobain could have done us all a favor and shot Eddy Vedder first. That whiny malcontent has been dead for years now anyway.

Add most of the 80's hair metal acts (except Queensryche), Dokken (does anyone have a more annoying guitar tone than George Lynch), Poison, Motley Crue, etc.

Never got the Grateful Dead.

The Rolling Stones and Springsteen never appealed to me either.
