No need for sorry, this is why I started this thread! I am glad you were honest... To tell you the truth, I find myself missing the guitar body when it just had the closet classic finish and some checking.
If I'm still not feeling it when it is completed, I will have Scotty make me another one with the closet classic finish and I will freeze check it and let the rest of it age naturally.
