I went to a drive in movie to see Blue Thunder and Escape from New York together. Great pairing. Plus, I had my fiancée in the front seat with me, and my future wife in the back seat, though she came up front to join us.
They shut the Braintree double drive in down soon thereafter, and a bit later my fiancée and I broke up, but I started dating the other fine lady, who is now my wife of fifteen years!
So Blue Thunder holds some interesting memories.
My wife has never seen Jaws though. Since we lived in beach towns, she did not want to get scared of the ocean!.
My eight year old daughter Katy walked through the living room while I was watching Jaws and saw a plume of blood shooting into the sky.
She stopped, mesmerized, went pale, then ran as I shut the TV off! I told her it was JAWS, and she never wants to watch it now
Maybe I'll warm her up with Discovery channel's Shark week!
But tonight, I'll be playing Roy Scheider at his finest, Chief Brody.
