It has the modern wiring. If I want to change to 50s, all I have to do is change the tone cap end to the vol pot center plug?

Thanks in advace..
If you have modern wiring and then swap cap over to center lug on volume pot you will have what is known here at MLPF as "Hybrid" 50's wiring. For the complete version you would also need so solder the middle lug of Tone pot back to case and use outside lug for cap lead.

I have found that it is not so crital how Tone pot is wired, but how the cap connects to volume pot. Outside lug on volume is where your pu lead solders in(modern) the middle lug is where switch lead connects (50's wiring) connecting cap lead to center lug will give you a little more treble and also keep Tone from being muddy when you turn volume down.

You can compare these two diagrams. I found that my 06' Gibson LP Studio sounded better and thicker with the Modern wiring, it varies from guitar to guitar according to a poll I did here at MLPF
