I used a kitchen scrubbing spongeon my fretboard on my washburn acoustic electric- the kind with the rough surface on one side- to clean the grime off the fretbord. It did such a nice clean job I didn't apply anything else on top of it but I hear that lemon oil is about the best thing you can apply. not sure if it's better than fret doctor?
