For the acoustic, have a look at Led Zeppelin. There's Bron-Y-Aur Stomp, which is cracking good fun to play. From memory the album version is in F, but that's just a matter of using a capo at the 1st fret. Once you've worked out the parts, ditch the capo and play in E.
There's also Going to California which I think was in D. Again, it's the same tuning two semi-tones lower.
If you're into blusey open playing, check out an Aussie band called The Cruel Sea. They do a lot of tasty but quirky slide work. Good songs, too. To give you a reference, a good easy one to start with would be The Honeymoon is Over. This is in C, which is the same as E but 4 semi-tones lower. Learn it in C and play it in E. Another one of theirs, Delivery Man is in E.
