As for my amp, usually its my POD through headphones, which sounds pretty awesome, or unplugged so I can interact with my 6 year old. I also have a 25watt Park, and a 10 watt Marshall (both cheap solid state amps).
So I won't worry about my LP being perfect..today she is.

I love my PODxt, i do alot of recording with it
and can get any sound imaginable out of it,
its also great for bass
