So I have a valve junior that's been modded. Through the stock weber speaker (8") it sounds fantastic, though quieter and lacking in low end compared to the ported and closed back 1x12 I have that I sometimes run it through. The mids however are sooooo warm through the stock 8", sounds fantastic. Then I switch over to the greenback 1x12 and it's just...dull.

Diameter differences aside, you guys think an alnico will give me the warm midrange I'm missing?
