I expanded as a lead guitar play when I started to learn Jazz. Being a "classic rock" kinda guy, that was the shock I needed. I am still learning the theory side and it all connects.

So, the point of my post is to try to move out of your "comfort zone" music style wise. Try some other musical genre, it will open your mind and fingers
